Security Management (B.A.)
The internship lasts at least six months and usually takes place in the 5th semester. The internship must be completed at a company, at an agency, or at an organisation that is geared towards security. Extensive contacts to numerous practical partners in Germany and abroad are available to students for this purpose.
Information and documents pertaining to internships are available via the corresponding Moodle course.

International Security Management (M.A.)
The internship lasts at least six months and usually takes place in the 3rd semester. The internship must be completed at a company, at an agency or at an organisation that is geared towards security. Extensive contacts to numerous practical partners in Germany and abroad are available to students for this purpose. In accordance with § 4 Abs. 2 of the study and examination regulations/ ISM, the internship can be waived if students have earned 210 ECTS credit points during their professional qualifying course of study, of which 30 ECTS credit points were earned through an integrated internship. It is highly recommended that students take advantages of internship opportunities.

Higher Police Service (B.A.)
The course comprises several internship periods totalling approximately twelve months. The 5th semester is entirely practical. The internship takes the form of training and practical work at Berlin’s police force. The two-week or three-week compulsory elective internship in the 6th semester can also be completed at police stations within Berlin, within other states or abroad, primarily in member states of the European Union and its neighbouring states, or at other agencies and non-governmental organisations. It can also be conducted, in whole or in part, as an excursion. Further information on contents and rules can be found in the study regulations and in the module catalogue.

Public Administration – Police Management (M.A.)
An internship, in the true sense of the word, does not take place. Students visit other offices within the framework of Module 10. The responsibility for this lies with the German Police University (DHPol). Further information can be found on the DHPol website.
