Department 5: Police and Security Management

The department offers two Bachelor's and two Master's degree programmes:

• Higher Police Service (B.A.)
  (Career tracks: constabulary, criminal police and business field service)
• Security Management (B.A.)
• Public Administration – Police Management (M.A.)
• International Security Management (M.A.)

The degree programmes at the department qualify students for careers in higher or senior police service in Berlin, as well as for security-related activities in companies, agencies, NGOs and aid organisations. Students who decide to study in this field are moving into one of the most important sectors of the future.

If you already work in an agency or at a company with a security focus, or would like to obtain further qualifications in this field, the Berlin Professional School can offer you two distance learning degree programmes in Security Management (M.A.) and Criminology and Crime Prevention (M.A.), both of them dovetailing with your occupation.
