The Promotionskolleg: the HWR Berlin Doctoral Studies Course
The HWR Berlin Doctoral Studies Course (Promotionskolleg) offers a wide-ranging programme that supports doctoral students in their studies with regard to methodological and scientific techniques. It creates opportunities for exchange and for the reciprocal support of doctoral students. It also offers further qualification procedures for non-disciplinary qualifications.
The Doctoral Studies Course is part of General Studies at HWR Berlin. Participation is primarily open to doctoral students who are supervised by professors at HWR Berlin and who have been registered for doctoral supervision. Please use the form to register for the Promotionskolleg. Participation in the events is voluntary and free of charge, successful participation will be certified by the university.
The Statistical Methods Training (MWS) offers training in research methods for PhD students and research assistants at HWR Berlin. Besides a program, there is the possibility for individual consulting opportunities, offering the chance to present and discuss questions about a statistical problem, and to develop a possible course of action, to evaluate advantages and disadvantages of certain methods or simply to solve thought blocks in a common conversation and to set possible directions.
