Guidelines for Guaranteeing Good Scientific Practice
It is demanded of scientists, researchers and staff at HWR Berlin that they observe the guidelines for guaranteeing good scientific practice in research and teaching. The university regards compliance with these principles as a self-evident prerequisite for scientific and research work.
In accordance with the recommendations of the German Research Foundation (DFG), HWR Berlin has adopted the following guidelines for guaranteeing good scientific practice and for handling scientific misconduct at HWR Berlin.
The Allgemeiner Fakultätentag (AFT), the Fakultätentage and the German Association of University Professors and Lecturers (DHV) have formulated common principles of good scientific and research practice for the writing of papers for qualifications (Bachelor’s theses, Master’s theses, doctoral theses and habilitation theses). These apply equally to all disciplines. Specialist concerns and interests were taken into account for their formulation. Members of HWR must also adhere to these principles.
