HWR Berlin and HKMU strengthen international partnership
HWR Berlin will work even more closely with Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) in the future. A cooperation agreement was signed on 14 March.

Science, research and teaching thrive on international exchange. A global network forms the basis for networking research and teaching worldwide and promoting academic dialogue.
During a visit by the Vice President of Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU), Prof Alan Au, an exchange took place with the President of HWR Berlin, Prof Jens Hermsdorf, and the Vice President for International Affairs, Prof Silke Bustamante. The discussions centred on future opportunities for cooperation, in particular the establishment of universities of applied sciences in Hong Kong and the cooperative study programme - a study model that is of particular interest to international guests.
Joint activities planned
The HWR Berlin has been cooperating with the HKMU for some time now in the organisation of summer schools in Berlin. Last year, 36 students from HKMU attended the HWR Berlin. With the cooperation agreement that has now been signed, the two universities are taking their partnership to a new level and creating the basis for more in-depth collaboration. The agreement covers joint activities in the areas of research, staff exchange and student exchange.
With more than 13,000 students, Hong Kong Metropolitan University is one of the largest state universities in Hong Kong. Its range of courses includes the Business and Administration programme.
