Exchange project and study trip to Belgrade
This unique project offers you the opportunity to deepen your skills in finance and marketing analytics and gain valuable international experience.
Students from HWR Berlin will learn general data analytics methods, pattern recognition and modern statistical methods from the field of machine learning together with students from the University of Belgrade.
Project objectives:
- Application of advanced data analysis techniques in the field of financial and marketing analysis
- Development of intercultural competences through cooperation with international students
- Consolidation of practical skills through real-life projects in an international context
Procedure:
Project kick-off in Belgrade 5th – 9th of May 2025:
Introduction to the topics and methods of data analysis as well as team-building activities in course units in the morning and cultural programme.
Participating students of the HWR Berlin will receive a travel grant.
Virtual workphase:
Joint work on project tasks and case studies in international teams under the guidance of experienced lecturers from both universities, in regular online meetings. The dates are expected to be as follows: May 28, June 11 and June 25, 9 a.m. Participation in the online component is mandatory.
Attendance phase in Berlin: 8th – 12th of September 2025
Presentation of project results, deepening of cooperation and cultural exchange.
Prerequisites for participation:
- Enrolled as a student at the HWR Berlin
- Interest in the topics of data analysis, financial and marketing analysis
- Successfully completed the courses "Mathematics" and "Statistics" (ø: <2,3)
- Availability in the above mentioned periods
- Good knowledge of English to at least level B2
- Willingness to work in an international team

Selection procedure:
Participants will be selected on the basis of the documents submitted. You can expect to receive feedback in mid-March.
