Degree programme

A combined studies degree means that students engage with the sector in which they wish to work even during their studies. Incorporating aspects of both theoretical training and employment, the degree course is tailored to the needs of the finance industry. This provides the best form of qualification for later employment. The finance industry and the banking industry in particular, require not only a highly-qualified workforce, conversant with the specialist mathematical financial engineering models on which products are based, but creative advisers and salespeople, who can use excellent inter-personal skills to develop bespoke customer provision. Innovation, precision, team working and a high level of responsibility are key to success in this demanding field.

The cooperative studies Bachelor’s degree programme Business Adminis- tration / Banking provides its students with a broad-based theoretical training requisite to employment in credit institutes. Graduates of this programme are able not only to understand the products with which they will later deal, but comply with the particular requirements of the branch and implement the marketing strategies which their sale requires. The HWR works with a range of partners in the finance industry which cover the whole range of German credit provision
