Self-defence workshop for FLINTA*
On the occasion of the »International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women« on 25 November, HWR Berlin is offering workshops on self-defence and self-assertion for members of the university community, organised by the Central Women's and Equal Opportunities Officer with the support of the university management.

This workshop is for FLINTA*.
FLINTA* stands for females, lesbians, inter, non-binary, trans and agender people. The asterisk is intended to include other variations of gender diversity.
Content
The self-defence course is based on effective kicking and punching techniques from Taekwondo and Krav Maga. Not only are the basics of self-defence taught, but also how everyday objects can be used for self-defence.
The course begins with the teaching of techniques, followed by practical exercises to apply these skills. In addition, a variety of martial arts games are included to reinforce what has been learned. There will also be time for improvisation and role-playing, covering topics such as crossing the boundaries of politeness and dealing with violent situations.
A maximum of 18 people can take part in the workshop.

Campus Schöneberg
FLINTA* in English: 28 November, 11.00–14.00
FLINTA* in German: 28. November, 15.00– 8.00
Campus Lichtenberg:
FLINTA* in German: 5. December, 11.00–14.00
All Gender in German: 5. December, 15.00–18.00

- Employees of the HWR Berlin are requested to coordinate their participation with their supervisor. According to the decision of the Registrar, participation is to be counted as working time, but overtime/overtime may not be incurred as a result of participation.
