Exchange project and study trip to Belgrade

This unique project offers you the opportunity to deepen your skills in finance and marketing analytics and gain valuable international experience.

Students from HWR Berlin will learn general data analytics methods, pattern recognition and modern statistical methods from the field of machine learning together with students from the University of Belgrade on-campus and in online sessions.

The programme concludes with a funded study trip to Belgrade.

Project objectives:

  • Application of advanced data analysis techniques in the field of financial and marketing analysis
  • Development of intercultural competences through cooperation with international students
  • Consolidation of practical skills through real-life projects in an international context

Procedure:

Project kick-off in Berlin 27th of October – 2nd of November 2024:
Introduction to the topics and methods of data analysis as well as team-building activities in course units in the morning and cultural programme.

Virtual workphase:
Joint work on project tasks and case studies in international teams under the guidance of experienced lecturers from both universities, in regular online meetings (expected to be approx. 2 hours per week).

Study trip to the University of Belgrade: 12th – 18th of January 2025.
Presentation of project results, deepening of cooperation and cultural exchange. Participating students of the HWR Berlin will receive a grant.

Prerequisites for participation:

  • Enrolled as a student at the HWR Berlin
  • Interest in the topics of data analysis, financial and marketing analyses
  • Successfully completed the courses "Mathematics" and "Statistics"
  • Good knowledge of English to at least level B2
  • Willingness to work in an international team
