Summer semester exchange 2023: Willkommen in Berlin!
The summer semester has started for the international exchange students of the HWR Berlin. There are now more than 260 exchange students from 34 different nations at the Schöneberg campus.
On Monday March 6, the dean of the faculty of Business and Economics, Prof. Dr. Ursula Walther and the International Office welcomed the 156 new international students from 34 different nations. While many students attended the event in person, those who had not yet arrived in Berlin yet, were able to participate online. Together with the exchange students who arrived in the September 2022 and are staying for another semester, there are now more than 260 international exchange students at the Schöneberg campus.
Throughout March, the students had the opportunity to improve their German language skills by participating in an intensive language course. Additionally, they also explored the city by participating in activities organized by the International Office, amongst others a boat ride on the river Spree, a visit to an exhibition in the Humboldt Forum, the Berlin Wall Memorial and and the Sachsenhausen Memorial.

The International Office is looking forward to sending more HWR Berlin students to our international partner universities for an exchange semester in the forthcoming semesters. Interested students can find out about the possibilities and receive individual advice during the International Days.
The application period for a stay abroad starting in the winter semester usually begins in October/November and for the summer semester in April/May. Exact dates can be found in the International Office Moodle course of the respective department.
