- Moving to Berlin, and preparing for life in Germany before you start your degree at HWR.
- This online event is specifically designed for full-degree seeking students who will start their degree at HWR Berlin in Winter Semester 2024-2025.
We’ll help you prepare for the next steps:
- Introduce you to the Schufa-Auskunft needed for flat-hunting
- Explain the differences between difference types of accommodation
- Share good tips and savvy advice on how to find a safe place to live in Berlin
- Discuss the importance of the GEZ-Gebühr as a newcomer to Germany
- Recap previous tips about visa applications, Sperrkonto.
How do I prepare for the meeting?
- Log in via computer/laptop/tablet (please not via smartphone)
- If possible, use a LAN cable for the internet connection
- If possible, please use a headset/headphones with microphone
- Test camera and microphone
