HWR Berlin "Germany's BEST Business School"

27.01.2016

The Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR) has emerged as "Germany's BEST Business School" from a survey on further professional education programmes commissioned by DEUTSCHLAND TEST. FOCUS magazine published the results of the survey in its latest edition.  By way of an online survey, the research and consultancy firm ServiceValue interviewed a total of 8,216 customers about 79 providers on the German further professional education market. The interviewees were asked to rate their satisfaction with respective offers and services they had used in the past two years. In the "Business Schools" category, HWR Berlin achieved the highest level of customer satisfaction. On a scale from 1 to 6, The Berlin School of Economics and Law gained an average rating of 2.68. HWR Berlin is therefore rated the same as the private ESMT European School of Management and Technology Berlin, and outranks Reutlingen University's ESB Business School, the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management and others.  HWR Berlin was the first higher education establishment in Germany to earn the renowned accreditation agency Association of MBAs (AMBA) seal of approval for its MBA (Master of Business Administration) programmes. In Germany, it is still one of only a few establishments with this accreditation. The study courses meet the most exacting international quality standards, and have succeeded in a steadily increasing and fiercely competitive environment for more than 20 years. The specific advanced study courses for the Berlin MBA offered by the Berlin Professional School (IWB / BPS) at HWR Berlin range from European-Asian Management to Entrepreneurship and Health Care Management. The general management professional development opportunities include full-time as well as part-time, dual education system and distance learning courses of study.  Most of the IWB / BPS study courses leading to a "Master of Arts" have an international focus, such as "Chinese-European Economics and Business Studies" or "International Business Management". Besides these, there are also part-time Master's courses for those already in full-time employment offering qualifications that prepare the students for senior positions in administration, security and law. These courses take the form of distance learning courses based on the "blended learning" concept, which offers the students various opportunities for networking and exchanging experiences yet is also extremely flexible as the course progress can be individually adapted. A further education programme specifically designed for women who want acquire the strategic skills necessary for appointment to the supervisory board of a company or other steering committees has been on offer for the past two years.  "The HWR Berlin further education offers take the most recent professional and technical developments, and also educational trends, on board fast, and the graduates benefit from the immediate career development advantages this gives them," says Prof. Dr. Andreas Zaby, the HWR Berlin Deputy President for Studies and International Affairs.
